Samantha Ramirez-Tepoz Explain your Artwork. Why did you choose this topic? I chose this topic because it is one of the most fought for topics in today's world. Racism has been going on for hundreds of years and it's nothing new. In June 2020 Gen-Z saw as George Floyd was murdered for his skin color by a police officer and we said Enough is Enough. Protests happened, Petitions were signed and we did the best of our ability to help what is right. No person should be discriminated for their skin color being anything other than white and no person should be killed for their color of skin. Enough is Enough we can and we will make a change.
Kaitlyn Convery Explain your Artwork. Why did you choose this topic? Today we live in such a diverse world. You would think that we have come to accept one another and learn about each other’s history, but that isn’t always the case. In a world with such beauty there is still fear and anger. For this art project I choose to draw the world with equality written smack in the middle, around the world is an orange and yellow glow. I believe that if everyone is shown justice and equality our world will shine. There is still hope for a better tomorrow. We must remember never to give in to the fear but learn from our mistakes, so we can grow.
